How to locate a Book or Journal in the Library

Journals
All print journals the library carries are located on the second floor. Both the current periodical section, as well as the bound volumes section, are located on the second floor and are arranged alphabetically. Note: journals cannot be checked out.

Books
The catalog book record will tell you whether a given book is available or whether it has been checked out. It will also provide you with a Call Number so that you can locate the book in the library.

Call Numbers for Books
Call Numbers act like "addresses" for the locations of books in the library. To find out which floor of the Library an item is located, you can refer to:

• Posted signs that show the call number range for each floor
• Ask at the Reference Desk
• Pick up a library handout which details book locations.
