Library Instruction/Tour

Library Instruction sessions are primarily conducted in Frazar Library. These sessions usually include a tour of the library to familiarize students with the building and its facilities. Sessions generally begin in the lobby of the library and conclude on the second floor in Room A.

We would like advance notice of at least one week in order for librarians to have adequate preparation time. Thank you.

In order to request a Library Instruction session, please contact Breanna Weston at 337/562-4248 or click here to place a request.

Exhibits

The library can provide a space in which exhibits can be displayed. These can consist of faculty or student work from classes or student organizations.  Phone 337/475-5725 for further information.

Library Liaisons to the Departments

A library liaison is a Librarian who is the primary communication link between the Library and an academic department within the University. The departmental liaison librarian acts as an advocate on behalf of their assigned department and provides services such as subject-specific bibliographies, study guides, and consultation in curricula and assignment design.

Government Documents Dept.

The goal of the Government Documents Department is to facilitate public access to government resources in all formats. As a Selective Federal Depository Library, we collect 62% of the information distributed by the U. S. Government Printing Office. As a Complete Depository for Louisiana government publications, we receive most of the information distributed by the Louisiana Recorder of Documents.
