Historical Sketch

The MSU Band made its debut on October 26, 1940 at a football game between John McNeese Junior College and Louisiana College. Mr. Francis Bulber was the first director of the band.

Scope and Content Note

The records consist of a beige and gold jacket worn during band performances. The 1955 Log (MSU yearbook) features a picture of band members wearing this jacket.
